Let p and q be parallel and t be the transversal
Therefore a= 40 corresponding angles
x+a =180. Angles in linear pair
X+40=180
X=180-40
X=140

Let p and q be parallel and s be the transversal
B=70. Vertically opposite angles
Y + B =180 angles on one side of transversal
Y+70= 180
Y=180-70
Y=110

Step-by-step explanation:

Let p and q be parallel(||) and t be the transversal

Therefore, a = 40 corresponding angle

x + a = 180°. Angles in linear pair

x + 40 = 180°

x = 180° - 40

x = 140°

Let p and q be parallel and s be the transversal

B = 70. Vertically opposite angles

Y + B = 180° Angles on one side of transversal

Y + 70 = 180°

Y = 180° - 70

Y = 110.°
