Given: seg AB is a diameter ,seg MS perpendicular chord AD  ,seg MT perpendicular chord AC

To prove : AC = AD

Explanation:

Since , seg MS perpendicular chord AD

seg MT perpendicular chord AC

AT = TC and AS = SD ..(1)

now in triangle ATS and ASM

AM = MA (common)

\angle SAM = \angle MAT \\\\\angle MSA = \angle MTA = 90^\circ (given )

thus

by ASA congruency

\bigtriangleup SAM \cong \bigtriangleup MAT

THUS

AT = AS (by CPCT)

multiply by 2 both sides

2AT = 2AS

AT+ AT = AS + AS

AT + TC = AS+ SD  from 1

AC = AD

hence proved
