in the area of an equilateral triangle is 16√3cm^2 then height of triangle is...

TARUN2693: area= √3/4a^2 = 16√3 a^2 = 64 a = 8 cm height = √3a/2 = √3*8/2 = 4√3cm

Hey,.
area=16√3 cm^2
√3/4 side^2 =16√3
√3 is cancelled on both the sides,
side=√64
side=8cm.
So, now,divide the equilateral triangle into two parts by drawing a perpendicular D from A to BC, So, now, Using Pythagoras theorem in ADC,
8^2=4^2+altitude^2
64-16=altitude^2
altitude =2√12cm .

Hope this helps you buddy!!

Hey!

Use the formula of equilateral triangle :-

Area of equilateral triangle =√3/4a²

√3/4a²=16√3

a²=16√3cm²×4/√3

=> a² = 64cm²

=> a = 8 cm

Perimeter of triangle =3a

=3×8

=24 cm
