In the atom of element X, 6 electrons are present in the outermost shell. If it requires an
octet configuration by accepting requisite number of electrons, then what would be the charge on
the ion so formed?

It have six electrons in its last orbit , it means that it needs two more electrons to complete its octet , so its ionic charge will be -2 , which means it will form anion by accepting two electrons .
