Applications of Electrolysis :

◆Extraction from metals from ores : Certain metals are extracted from their ores by process of electrolysis. For example ,metals like aluminium,sodium, potassium,calcium are extracted by this method.

◆Electroplating : The process of depositing a thin layer of any desired metal on another material,by the passage of electric current

◆Electrorefining: The process of obtaining pure metal from the impure one by the process of electrolysis.
