In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in an clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.

As Mahatma Gandhi has rightly said, “In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth”.

Silence does not mean "NOT TO SPEAK". It actually is also to free ourselves from unwanted and wasteful thoughts. Thus, it is the method to save energy. Usually the amount of energy wasted in speech is less than that wasted if we are forced to keep quite. But if we successfully free ourselves from unwanted thoughts, focus on ourselves, attain silence in the mind; we save our mental energy.

Silence therefore is to achieve peace and enrich us with constructive thoughts. When the network of unwanted and wasteful thoughts gets cleared from our mind, we meet the “I” inside, that is, THE SOUL. This time, since the network is clear we feel filled with pleasure, peace and love.

Places of stillness such as worship places, nature, and meditation can help us reaching to the state of silence and recharge our emotions.
