In the below figure, two equal circles, with centres O and O', touch each other at X.OO'
produced meets the circle with centre O' at A. AC is tangent to the circle with centre O, at the
point C. O'D is perpendicular to AC. Find the value of DO'/CO.

AO =O'x = Ox



now ,


AO' = 3AO. -----------(1)




therefore .


traingle basic proposnality theroum


we get



A'O / AO = D'O / CO



3AO / AO = D'O / CO


therefore ,


D'O / CO = 1/3 .


hence the ratio will be 1:3 .
