In the chapter 'Bees in my backyard', the writer says that the wild plants managed to feed such a variety of life forms (and his own soul). What do you think it means?
Note:- I'm attaching a picture of the entire story in case you don't know it.

It means that the wild plants had many types of small organisms and minute life forms while the whole place was surrounded by high-rise buildings.
The lantana bushes, ber tree and the few peepal trees, all provided a safe haven for them so that the writer seems to be very pleased.
It also pleases him a lot because he seems to be a person who loves nature as he says at the end of the sentence, "...and my soul".
Therefore, the bushes and trees provide the respite that is so much needed there.
