In the chapter, ‘The Lost Child’ the small child goes through a plethora of emotions in a short span of time. The joyous, happy abandon in the beginning is replaced by a frightened scream of a lost child at the end. Elaborate, taking examples from the chapter. (120-150 words).

Explanation:

At the beginning of the chapter he sees a large crowd and gets fascinated to go in to the exhibition. when he goes in he sees many people enjoying . He sees a sweetmeats seller and asks his parents for a Burfi but his parents denies. later he go through many things such as toys ,dove , balloons. To get out from his favourite things his mother shows him a garland , a person playing snake charmer and a roundabout . later they walk through and the child was walking behind the parents. when child stops and gets attracted to the roundabout and turns back and asks his parents to take him on that round about but his parents are not there after walking some distance the parents also realises that their child was missing. The lost child loses intrest In the things he wanted earlier because he was panic stricken on being separated from his parents.
