In the circuit diagram shown, the two resistance wires A and B are of same length and same material, but A is thicker than B. Which ammeter A1 or A2 will indicate higher reading for current ? Give reason

In the diagram the given points are: -

1. Wire A and wire B are the same length.

2. The material of both wires is same.

3. Wire A is thicker than the wire B.

So therefore, it concludes from all, the information that the thicker wire of the ammeter A1 will show the reading of current more.

Ammeter A2 shows higher reading. Since wire A1 is longer, it has greater resistance and so draws lesser current. So more current flows through B and A2 shows higher reading.
