In the circuit shown below ammeter reads 2.0 A and the voltmeter reads 12V. How much energy is transferred in the resistor in 10 seconds.

Current = 2.0 A

Voltage = 12 V

Time = 10 sec

Energy :

The energy is equal to the product of potential, current and time.

We need to calculate the energy transferred in the resistor

Using formula of energy

E=V\times I\times t

Where, V = voltage

I =current

t = time

Put the value into the formula

E= 12\times2.0\times10

E=240\ J

Hence, The energy transferred in the resistor is 240 J.
