Now expand the diagram, 1 A passes through BG , V = 1* 4= 4 V

Current in CF = 0.5 A

PD of CF = 0.5×4=2 V

Current in CDEF = 2/8=0.25 A

Therefore, current in 4 ohm resistor is 0.25 A
