In the circuit shown in the figure, the current through
A. 3Ω resistor is 0.50 A
B. 3Ω resistor is 0.25 A
C. 4Ω resistor is 0.50 A
D. 4Ω resistor is 0.25A

The total resistance of the circuit= 4+3+2=9 ohm

Potential difference= 9V

Since V=IR

I=9/9=1 A

1 A of current will pass through 3, 2 and simplified segment of 4 ohm resistor

Now expand the diagram, 1 A passes through BG , V = 1* 4= 4 V

Current in CF = 0.5 A

PD of CF = 0.5×4=2 V

Current in CDEF = 2/8=0.25 A

Therefore, current in 4 ohm resistor is 0.25 A
