in the class test 5 marks are awarded for each correct answer and -2 for each incorrect answer and arnav answered all the questions and scored 30 marks though he got 10 correct answers find the number of questions and I answered incorrectly

A mistake in question Instead of I he should be used in last line

x be correct attempts and y be incorrect attempts
then 5x-2y=30
5(10)-2y=30
2y=20
y=10
Therefore he answered 10 questions incorrectly...
