India is a secular state. It means that all people of India or the citizens are treated equally irrespective of race, caste or gender i.e. all are equal in the eye of law no matter in which state he or she resides.

The category of right to equality clearly suggests that India is a secular state.

Secular state is a state in which their is not any official religions and all religions are equal in our country. And our country India is one of the example of it as we do not give any special status to any religion of our country and we have equal voting rights for every religion..No religion is considered as inferior. All religions are equally protected. There will be no discrimination on grounds of religion or caste. India is a secular state as it ensures that people have thefreedom to change their religion whenever they want to.
It ensures that all the people have the freedom to live by
their religious beliefs and practices. No religious
community can gain power over the other religious
communities.
