Answer: c) 0 to +5

Explanation: Bromine Br_2 in its standard state has oxidation state of zero and it changes to BrO_3^ where oxidation state of Br is +5. Thus it is undergoing oxidation as the oxidation number of the element bromine is increasing.

Br^xO^{-2}_3^=-1

if x is the oxidation state of Br, oxidation state of oxyge is -2.

Thus x+3(-2)=-1, x-6=-1, x=+5

Br_2\rightarrow BrO_3^-
