a) hydrogen gas is collected at cathode and oxygen is collected as anode
b) We usually perform Electrolysis to split constituents of water . ... We know that hydrogen composition in water is double than oxygen , so we find volume of gas collected in one electrode is double than volume of gas collected in another electrade .
c) But, the conductivity of water remains low. Addition of sulfuric acid causes an increase in conductivity. Acid dissociates to produce ions which result in increased conductivity. So, if H2SO4 is not added to water, the conductivity of water will remain low resulting in slow electrolysis.

The gas at anode is oxygen, and at cathode it is hydrogen. (b) 'cause the hydrogen contains two ions in comparison to the the oxygen of 1 ion by volume (c), if it is not added , the ionisation don't occurs
