heya!
In the experiment to show that CO2 is released during respiration partial vacuum is created because, CO2 realesed by germinating seeds is absorbed by potassium hydroxide (KOH) so partial vaccum is created.
hope it helps!!...:-)

Heya Frnd........☺
The setup to test the release of CO2 in respiration contains the following apparatus:
★ Germinating seeds.
★ KOH (potassium hydroxide) solution
★ Delivery tube
★ conical flask
★ Cork.
.........etc.
The Germinating seeds use up all the O2 present in the flask and release CO2.
KOH works for absorbing all the CO2 released.
Due to this a partial vacuum is created which leads to the rise of water level in the Delivery tube.
