AB=AC that means ≤ABC≈≤ACB≈x(suppose) then

x+x+40°= 180°

x= 70°

y°= 180°-70°= 110°

≤C≈x° [vertically opposite angle]

therefore

x°=70°

Answer:

ANSWER:

sum of angle of triangle=180°

=n+n+40=180

=2n=180-40

=2n=140

=n=140/2

=n=70

supplementary angle=∆ABC+Y=180°

=70+Y=180

=Y=180-70

=Y=110°

∆ACB =x=70° ( vertically oposite angle)

therefore x=70°

Y=110°
