Solution : Y = 110 ( vertically opposite angles).

X = 110 ( corosponding angles ).

ANSWER :-

  • Valuuaof x = 110°
  • Value of y =110°

TO FIND :-

  • The value of angle x and y.
  • And to prove AB || CD.

SOLUTION :-

▪︎x + 70° = 180° [ Linear pair ]

▪︎x = 180° - 70°

▪︎x = 110°

Here, \angle 1 + 110° [ Linear pair ]

=> \angle 1 = 180° - 110°

=> \angle 1 = 70°

Again by linear pair,

=> \angle 1 + y = 180°

=> y = 180° - 70°

=> y = 110°

Here we found,

=> x = y = 110°

Therefore, by alternate interior angle property,

AB || CD

HENCE PROVED
