Given :  PS and PT are tangents to the circle drawn from an external point P

.CD is a third tangent touching circle at Q

PT =10 cm and CQ =2cm

To Find : perimeter of triangle PCD

Solution:

CS = CQ   Equal tangent

DT  = DQ  Equal tangent

PS = PT  Equal tangent

perimeter of triangle PCD

PC + CD + PD

CD = CQ + QD

Case 1 : CD is in between PS & PT

= PC + CQ + QD + PD

=  PC + CS + DT + PD

= PS + PT

= PT + PT

= 2PT

= 2 (10)

= 20  cm

perimeter of triangle PCD = 20  cm
