Answer:

48 and 55

Solution :

Given :

  • A square part of a calendar is taken

  • 4 , 5 , 11 , 12 are the numbers.

To find :

  • Product of diagonal pairs.

The diagonal pairs are 4 and 12 , 5 and 11

4 5

11 12

⟹ 4 × 12 = 48

⟹ 5 × 11 = 55

So, the product of diagonal pairs = 48 and 55

The difference between their products is 7.

Let's See the algebra used :

x x + 1

x + 7 x + 8

( cross multiply ) ( diagonal multiply )

⟹ x ( x + 8 ) × ( x + 1 ) ( x + 7 )

⟹ x² + 8x × x² + 7x + x + 7

⟹ x² + 8x + 7

so, the 2 products are :

⟶ x² + 7x + x +7

⟶ x² + 8x + 7

The difference between them is : 7
