In the figure AB and DC are parallel sides of a trapezium ABCD and angle ADC = 90 .Given AB =15 cm ,CD= 40 cm and diagonal AC 41 cm calculate the are of the trapezium ​

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle ADC

perpendicular = x

base = 40 cm

hypotenuse = 41

By phytagoras theoram

H^2 = B^2 + P^2

41 ^2 = 40 ^ 2 + P^2

1681 = 1600 + P^2

1681 - 1600 = P^2

81 = P^2

P = underoot 81

P = underoot 9*9

P = 9 cm

Now,

In triangle BCA

Do like i had done before by phytagoras theoram

then apply the formula- base + base \2 * height
