Diagonals of a parallelogram intersect each other
So .: x-y=5 (1)
And x+y=9 (2)
From (1)
X=5+y put this in equation (2)
5+y+y=9
5+2y=9
2y=9-5
Y=2
Now x=5+2=7

in a parallel o gram the diagonals bisect each other, so if u take the diagonals BD then you'll get, x-y=5 so x is equal to 5+y
now take the other diagonal Ac you have already got the value of x to be 5+y
put the value of X on the equation, i.e x+y=9cm, then,
(5+y)+y= 9cm
2y+5=9
2y= 4
and y=2 cm
take out value of x from here.........
From diagonal AC you know that x+y = 9
so x = 7 cm
HOPE THIS ANSWER HELPS U.........
