=====>8*4 = 32m^2
length of AP = length of RC = 4m( half of AB &DC)
length of AS = length of CQ= 2m(half of AD&BC)
area of the triangle ASP = 1/2 * base * height
》》》1/2 * 4 * 2 = 4m^2
in the same way area of triangle RCQ= 4m^2
total area of unshaded portion = 4+4= 8m^2
area of shaded portion = area of rectangle--

area of shaded portion = 32 - 8 = 24m^2
