Given :- In the figure , angle PQR=90° , QT_|_PR , PQ=7cm QR=24cm and PR=25cm then length of TR is ?

Solution :-

in ∆PQR we have,

→ PQ² + QR² = PR²

→ 7² + 24² = 25²

→ 49 + 576 = 625

→ 625 = 625

and,

→ ∠ PQR = 90°

→ QT_|_PR .

then,

→ ∆PQR ~ ∆QTR (By converse of pythagoras theorem)

therefore,

→ QR/PR = TR/QR (By CPCT)

→ QR² = TR * PR

→ (24)² = TR * 25

→ TR = 576/25

→ TR = 23.04 (Ans.)
