Given:

In the figure, if the area of the triangle region ABC is 96 sq.m and the length of base bc are 20m then find out the height hm of the triangular region.

To find:

The height hm of the triangular region

Solution:

We are given

"hm" → height of the triangle ABC.

The area of the Δ ABC, A = 96 m²

The length of the base of the triangle, BC = 20 m

We know,

\boxed{\bold{Area \:of\:a\:triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times Base \times Height}}

Now, on substituting the given values of the base and the area in the above formula, we get

96 = \frac{1}{2} \times 20 \times h_m

\implies 96 = 10 \times h_m

\implies h_m = \frac{96}{10}

\implies \bold{h_m = 9.6\:m}

Thus, the height hm of the triangular region is → 9.6 m.
