AD is parallel to BC

When two triangles are formed between same parallel lines and lie on the same base then their area are equal.

The triangle ADC and triangle ABD lie on the same base AD and formed between same parallel lines AD and BC.

Therefore,

Area of triangle ADC =Area of triangle ABD

Ar(ADC)-ar(AGD)=Ar(ABD)-ar(AGD)

Ar(CGD)=Ar(ABG)

Area of triangle CGD=Area of triangle ABG

Hence, proved.
