area of triangle pxq= 1/2×base×altitude

32 cm ^2= 1/2×8cm×altitude

32cm ^2=4 cm×altitude

altitude= 32 cm ^2/4 cm

altitude=8 cm.

area of parallelogram pqrs=base × corresponding altitude

=8 cm× 8 cm

= 64 cm ^2.
