Given : PS ⊥  l    and RQ ⊥ l

To Find : Measure of y

Solution:

PS ⊥  l    and RQ ⊥ l

=> PS || RQ

Hence ∠PSR + ∠QRS = 180°  ( co interior angles)

=> y + ∠QRP + ∠SRP = 180°

=> y + 55° + ∠SRP = 180°

=> y + 55°  =  180° - ∠SRP

180° - ∠SRP  = 135°  Linear pair

=>  y + 55°  = 135°

=> y  = 80°

measure of y is 80°

Correct option is c) 80°
