firstly we should make it into two separate shapes
so they will be a rectangle and a right angled triangle
you don't need to focus on the rectangle
in the triangle the base will be 12cm
and the height will be 5cm
find hyp
it will be 13cm
because 5,12 and 13
is a Pythagorean triplet
I hope this'll help you

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1.We need to separate the quadrilateral ABCD in to two figures:

1.triangle ADE

2.Rectangle ABCE

2.AE=BC=12 cm.

3.So in the right angled triangle ADE ,

AD=hypotenuse

DE=DC-AB=55-50=5 cm.

AE =12 cm

4.According to the Pythagoras theorem, AD^2=DE^2+AE^2

=12^2+5^2=144+25=169=13^2.

5.So ,AD= 13 cm.

Perimeter of quadrilateral ABCD=AB+BC+CD+CA=50+12+55+13=130.
