area of the shaded region  = 252 cm² if triangle ABC in the semi circle and Diameter = 42 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

ΔABC in the semi circle

CO ⊥ AB

OA = OB  = OC = Radius = 42/2 = 21 cm

Area of  ΔABC = (1/2) 42 * 21  =  441 cm²

Area of Semi circle = (1/2) π R²

= (1/2) (22/7) * 21²

= 693  cm²

area of the shaded region  = 693 - 441  = 252 cm²
