In the following figure ABCD is a rectangle with side 8cm and 4cm . find the area of triangle ABCD and Triangle CAD.

area of rectangle ABCD = l × b
= 8 × 4
= 32cm square

area of triangle CAD= half × base × height
= half × 8 × 4
= 16cm sq.
