If we extended the line OA to E.

and also PC to F,OB to G,DP to H

The point which the two lines BG and CF meats is I.

Now,

If we take line Dh and line BG as parallel and CF is a transversal.

angle DPC=BIC(by corresponding angles )

that means Y=Y

Then,

We take line OE and line FC as parallel and BG is a transversal.

angle BOE=BIC(by corresponding angles)

that means X=Y
