2x−3y=13...(1)

7x−2y=20....(2)

Let us use the elimination method to the given system of equations.

Multiply (1) by 2 and (2) by 3. And subtract both the equations.

−17x=−344x−6y=2621x−6y=60−+−

x=−14−34=+2

Substitute the value of x in equation (1), we have

y=−3

Hence x=2 and y=−3
