Equation of wave is given , y = 9sin(3πx)
we know, standard form of wave is y = Asin(kx), where A is amplitude {maximum height of wave in y - axis } and k is wave number e.g., k = 2π/λ
Compare both equations ,
A = 9 and 2π/λ = 3π ⇒λ = 3/2 = 1.5
Now, B = λ/4 = 1.5/4 = 0.375
And C = λ - λ/4 = 3λ/4 = 3 × 1.5/4 = 4.5/4 = 1.125
∴ A(B+ C) = 9(0.375 + 1.125) = 13.5
Hence, answer is 13.5
