If AD = 20m, CE = 8m, AB = 16m, then the length of DF is 10 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

ABCD is a parallelogram

Side AD = 20 m

Side CE = 8 m

Side AB = 16 m

CE ⊥ AD

DF ⊥ AB

We know that the formula of the area of a parallelogram is given by,

Area = Base × Perpendicular Height

Firstly, we have

Side AD = 20 m and the perpendicular height corresponding to this side will be CE which is 8 m.

Area = AD × CE = 20 × 8 = 160 m²

Now, considering side AB which is 16 m and the corresponding perpendicular height of this side is DF.

Area = AB × DF

⇒ 160 = 16 × DF

⇒ DF = 160/16

DF = 10 m

Thus, the length of DF is 10 m.
