In the given figure, ABCD is a square, side AB is
produced to points P and Q in such a way that
PA=AB=BQ. Prove that DQ = CP.

in ∆ADQ ,

AD^2+ AQ^2 = DQ^2. { by using pyth. }

DQ =√AD^2 +AQ^2

in ∆BCP ,

CP= √ BC^2 + BP^2

since AQ= BP and AD=BC

DQ =CP
