Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

angle x = 180-70=110

angle z = 110 [since z is opposite to x ]

A=70

C=70 [ opposite to A ]

B=110

D=110

Answer:

(a)

Given, ∠DAB =70°

therefore,

y = 70°

z+x = 360 - (70+70)

= 360 - 140 = 220°

z & x are equal so,

220/2 = 110°

therefore,

z = 110°

z = 110°x = 110°

reverse check:

70+70+110+110 = 360 (correct.)

(b)

Given, ∠BCD = 60°

therefore,

y = 60°

z & ∠ADC = 360-(60+60)

=360-120 = 240°

z & ∠ADC are equal, so,

z= 240/2 = 120° &

∠ADC = 240/2 = 120°

A line has 180°on either side of it.

which means the side where ∠x is formed it is 180°. and we know ∠ADC =120° so,

x = 180-120 = 60° .

Note:

when you see closed shapes, the inside of it is 360° . the exterior is also 360° , but for the sake of this sum, interior was the concern.

so the sum of all angles had to be equal to 360°.

in sum it's written the shapes are parallelogram

which means the lines dont coincide. so if you look at the page upside down you'll notice that eg, sum (a) 's ∠DAB 70° is the same as ∠DCB.

now if 2 corner angles are same, the other 2 corners are same too.
