To show :-

• LM > LN.

According to the question,

= ∠LMN + x = 180° ( Linear pair )

= ∠LNM + y = 180° ( Linear pair )

∠LMN + x = ∠LNM + y

But it is given that,∠x > ∠y.

∠LMN = ∠LNM

=》 LM > LN. ( Angle opposite to

greater angle are greater)
