In the given figure, chord AB
subtends an angle of 115° at the
centre O of a circle of 20 cm radius.
Calculate AB correct to the nearest cm.​

x+x+115=180

x = 37.5

Draw OM Perpendicular toAB

∠AOM+ ∠M +∠A=180

y+90+37.5=180

y=∠AOM=52.5

In AOM

Sin 52.5= AM/OA

0.787=AM/20

AM=15.74

Similarly

In BOM

BM=15.74

AB=AM+BM

AB=15.74+15.74

AB=31.48
