AREA OF THE SHADED REGION

=AREA OF THE SQUARE-AREA OF THE CIRCLE

AREA OF THE SQUARE

=a² sq.units

=10²

=100cm²

AREA OF THE CIRCLE

=πr² sq.units

=[(22/7)] [(7/2)²]

=(22/7)(7/2)(7/2)

=(11)(7/2)

=77/2 cm² or 38.5 cm²

AREA OF THE SHADED REGION

=AREA OF THE SQUARE-AREA OF THE CIRCLE

=100 cm² - 38.5 cm²

=61.5 cm²
