Answer:

Diameter of semi circle = 14cm

Radius = d/2 i.e 14/2 = 7

Area of semi circle = pie r.square / 2

3.14 x 7 x 7 overall divide by 2 = 76.93 cm square

sincle there are 4 semi circles of each 3.5 cm ( 14÷ 4)

So diameter of small semi circle is 3.5

Radius is = 3.5/2 = 1.75cm

area of small semi circle = pie. r square /2

3.14 ×1.75x1.75 =9.61 cm square

since there are 4 semi circles. so total area of 4 semi circles is = 4x 9.61 = 19.2cm2

Area of shaded portions = Area of semi circle + Area of small 4 semi circle

therefore 76.93 + 19.2 = 96.13 cm2 Answer
