length BD2=BC2+CD2=Radius of circle*2

(Applying Pythagoras)

therefore BD2=36+64

BD=√100

BD=10

Radius of circle=5 cm

Area of Shaded region =Area of circle -Area of Square

=(pie*5*5)-6*8

=30.5cm^2
