y + z = 180⁰ (Linear Pair)

y = 180⁰ - 40⁰

∴ y = 140⁰

40⁰ + x + 25⁰ = 180⁰ (Linear Pair)

x = 180⁰ - 65⁰

∴ x = 115⁰
