Find the value of y :

As, we can see that AB is a straight line, so

 \sf \angle AOB = 180\degree

So,

 \therefore \sf \angle AOQ + \angle QOP + \angle POB = 180 \degree

Putting the values,

3y + 40 + 2y = 180°

=> 5y + 40 = 180°

=> 5y = 180° - 40°

=> 5y = 140°

=> y =  \sf \frac{140\degree}{5}

=> y = 28°

Hence, value of y = 28°

Also,

Value of \sf \angle AOQ = 3y = 3 \times 28° = \bold{84°}

Value of  \sf \angle POB = 2y = 2 \times 28° = \bold{56°}
