In the given figure, from a cuboidal solid metalic block of dimensions 15 cm × 10 cm × 5 cm a cylindrical hole of diameter 7cm is drilled out. Find the surface area of the remaining block.

TSA OF CUBOID = 2( LB + BH + HL)
= 2 {(15×10) + (10×5) + (5×15)
= 2 ( 150 + 50 + 75)
= 550 Cm2
Area of Circle = 3.14 × R × R
= 3.14 × 3.5 ×3.5
= 38.46
Surface area of remaining part = TSA of cuboid ― Area of Circle
= 550― 38.46
= 511.54 Cm2 Ans..
