i) <CGH = <GHB [ alternate angles]

y = 3x ----(1)

<EGC + <CGH = 180° [ Linear angles ]

2x + y = 180---(2)

2x + 3x = 180 [ from (1)]

5x = 180

x = 180/5

x = 36°

Put x value in equation (1), we get

y = 3 x 36 = 108°

ii) <EGD = GHB [ Corresponding Angles]

2x + 15 = 3x - 20

15 + 20 = 3x - 2x

35=X

x = 35°

iii) <DGH + <DHB = 180°

[Sum of interior angles same side of the

transversal ]

4x 23 + 3x = 180°

7x = 180 + 23

7x = 203°

x = 203/7

65

X = 29°
