we know that parallel b/w same base and b/w same parallel have equal areas

so, ar||gm ABCD = ar||gm BCFE ( ON SAME BASE BC AND BETWEEN SAME PARALLEL)

BUT, ar||gm BCFE = ar||gm EFGH ( ON SAME BASE EF AND B/w SAME PARALLEL)

ON SUBSTITUTING THE VALUES,

ar|| ABCD = ar||EFGH

HENCE PROVED.....
