Given:

LM is parallel PQ and QL is parallel MN

To prove :

RL\times RL=RN\times RP

Solution:

In triangle RPQ

LM is parallel to PQ

\frac{RL}{RP}=\frac{RM}{RQ}...(1)

Reason: By using triangle proportionality theorem

In triangle RLQ

QL is paralle to MN

\frac{RN}{RL}=\frac{RM}{RQ}....(2)

From equation (1) and (2) we get

\frac{RL}{RP}=\frac{RN}{RL}

RL\times RL=RP\times RN

Hence, proved.
